Dear Peachtree Family,

Commitment Sunday was such an encouragement to me as your pastor, to hear from so many of you that resonate with the core conviction that God has a promising future for Peachtree. The level of commitment and investment you are demonstrating is inspiring and filled with the blessings of God. Thank you for all the ways in which you have contributed to the Renewing the Promise campaign. It’s now time to take our next step as a church.

Beginning Sunday, May 21, we relocated our three Sunday morning worship services to the Summit, located on the second floor of the Lodge across the street. This move is essential as we prepare for construction. We anticipate construction taking 15 months and this timetable enables us to utilize two summer seasons, when attendance tends to decrease, so that we only disrupt one program year of ministry.

Many churches that embark on a capital campaign experience a lull between fundraising and construction. I’m pleased to announce that this will not be the case for us. Our goal is to complete the construction of our Fellowship Hall by the Fall of 2023 and our Sanctuary by the Fall of 2024. We believe that this ambitious timetable is in our best interest as a church.

You will begin to see construction in and around our Sanctuary after Mother’s Day, and we are committed to keeping you informed throughout the construction process. You can always check renewingthepromise.com for updates. After this letter, you’ll find information you will need to know about the move.

This change will require some adjustments for all of us in the short term, but I believe the long-term ministry impact will far outweigh our temporary displacement. Our investment in the future begins now.

Service Schedule

Our service times remain the same with traditional worship at 8:45am and 10am and contemporary worship at 11:15am.

Parking

We encourage parents with younger children attending The Nest or Sunday School to park in our Rear Surface Parking Lot, known as The Back 40, and enter through the Nest or Family Commons entrances.

For those attending worship and not dropping off children, we encourage you to park in the Dogwood Parking Deck behind the Lodge or in the Magnolia Lot off of Lakeland Drive. Additional handicapped parking spaces will be reserved on the first floor of the Dogwood Parking Deck.

For Sunday morning Belong Communities meeting in and near the Gym, the Gym lots on the south side of campus will be the most convenient option for you.

The Peachtree Express from the Powers Ferry Parking Lot will take a break for the summer. 

When you arrive on campus, we will have greeters and signage across our campus to make sure you can find where you need to go.

Children’s Programming

Children will not be dismissed to programming during the 8:45am and 11:15am services. They can attend the entire worship service with parents or be dropped off directly in classrooms prior to the beginning of each service.
