Through student sponsorships, you have the ability to walk with a student on their educational journey. Sponsoring a student is not just about changing their lives, it is about transforming the lives of their family, community, and your own life.

India

In India, education is provided by the government for children 7–14, but they are required to pay for all school books, supplies, meals, and state-regulated uniforms. These costs can be exorbitant and families often are unable to pay them.

All students are now sponsored for the '24 -'25 school year! Check back next Fall for sponsoring in the '25-'26 school year.

Malawi

In Malawi, the government provides free education through primary school. If a child wishes to go to high school or further in education, they must pay those fees themselves. In the Chitipa District, the annual income for a family is $500 a year; a year of high school costs $350, tech school costs $1,000, and college costs $2,500.

Atlanta

The Bill Maness Good Samaritan Scholarship (BMGSS) was originally founded in 2004 to honor Bill Maness, a Peachtree Church recreational director who was known for his creative solutions to social needs that others had overlooked.

The scholarship provides $5,000 a year for four years total ($20,000). It is awarded each year to at least two graduating, college-accepted seniors who have a financial need, strong grades, a strong determination to start and finish college, and are willing to accept a mentor who will walk alongside, encourage, and guide them for all four years.

Kidz2leaders

One of our local partnerships benefitting from Renewing the Promise is Kidz2Leaders, a local gospel-centered program working to break the cycle of generational incarceration.

Did you know that if you are a child who has one or both parents incarcerated that you are 3x more likely than your peers to be incarcerated? Kidz2Leaders works to provide stability, opportunity, and a Christian community for children of inmates. They have served over 1,500 children in the past 24 years and 99% of them are living free from incarceration.

Our church will not only be making a significant financial investment in Kidz2Leaders, but we are also encouraging our community to get involved by serving these families.

Tutoring for LaAmistad

LaAmistad, which simply means “the friendship,” is the premier organization serving Latinos in Atlanta. With an environment constructed around the premise of friendships and relationships, we foster educational excellence and help our students, parents, and families to achieve a better quality of life.
