Infant Baptism
Baptism is one of the most meaningful moments in the life of a family and the church. Because baptism includes promises made by both parents and the congregation, at least one parent must be an active member of Peachtree Church before registering a child for baptism.
In baptism, God claims your child as his own and is at work in your child’s life from the very beginning. Our infant baptism ministry is available for children 18 months of age and younger.
Baptism is not only a special occasion for your family; it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. In presenting your child for baptism, you are publicly committing to raise your child within the community of faith, teaching them to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.
Because infants are not yet able to profess faith for themselves, parents make these promises on their behalf. One day, we pray your child will personally embrace the faith proclaimed at their baptism and profess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Adult Baptisms
When an adult is baptized, they are making a profession of faith claiming that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of their life. Baptism is just the beginning of a person’s faith journey. Peachtree walks alongside people who make this significant step in their life — helping them grow as followers of Christ.
