Rebecca grew up in South Carolina and attended Clemson University. After graduation, she worked at IBM in Greenville, SC, where she met her husband, Jay. When Jay began to sense a call to full‑time ministry, they moved with their two children to Chicago to be a part of Willow Creek Community Church.
While there, Jay and Rebecca promoted connection, small groups, and compassion in their community, and Rebecca worked on the development and rollout of Listen to My Life materials to help people engage their life story — past, present, and future. In 2009, the Maddens moved to Atlanta to be a part of Peachtree, and in 2012, Rebecca joined the staff as Connections Director overseeing visitors and new members, to connect to Peachtree members for spiritual growth and community impact.
In 2016, she assumed the role of Director of Women’s Ministry where she is responsible for the vitality and spiritual formation of women through its ministries and communities. In addition to her passion for community and spiritual growth, she is most passionate about loving her husband and their two children, Neale and William, and scrapbooking!
