Mary Hoffman is the Senior Director of Music Ministries. She conducts the Chancel Choir, Youth Choir and the Chamber Chorale. Mary has conducted various masterworks with the Peachtree Choirs including the Mozart and Fauré Requiems, Haydn’s The Creation, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and the Bach Magnificat.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education/voice from Illinois Wesleyan University and earned her master’s degree in sacred music/choral conducting from Emory University, where she studied with Eric Nelson. She also trained at the Kings Singers Summer Institute in Cambridge, England. As an educator prior to coming to Peachtree, Mary taught music in the public schools of Georgia, Colorado, and Illinois. Mary was Peachtree’s Director of Children’s Music director from 1998 to 2008. She became the Director of Music Ministries in 2008. Mary is also the current artistic director of the Choral Guild of Atlanta, a resident community choir.

Mary has two adult children, Maggie and Philip.
