“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

Psalm 19:1

Psalm 19

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.…

May these words of my mouth
and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

(vv. 1-2, 14)

Reflection Questions

Numbered List
  1. Can you remember a time when you felt amazed by God’s creation? What was it like? What did you see and/or experience?
  2. Do you believe God reveals knowledge or speaks to us through his creation? If so, can you provide an example?
  3. How might acknowledging God as the Creator impact your life and worship?
  4. In this Psalm, David reminds us that God provides “at the proper time” (v. 15). Last month, we considered our need to wait on the Lord. This month, reflect: have you ever experienced a situation where you had to wait for God’s timing instead of your own? How did that change you?
