God is Creator
DAILY DWELL
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
Psalm 19:1
Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.…
May these words of my mouth
and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
(vv. 1-2, 14)
Reflection Questions
- Can you remember a time when you felt amazed by God’s creation? What was it like? What did you see and/or experience?
- Do you believe God reveals knowledge or speaks to us through his creation? If so, can you provide an example?
- How might acknowledging God as the Creator impact your life and worship?
- In this Psalm, David reminds us that God provides “at the proper time” (v. 15). Last month, we considered our need to wait on the Lord. This month, reflect: have you ever experienced a situation where you had to wait for God’s timing instead of your own? How did that change you?
