Peachtree offers many forms of distinctively Christian care and compassion. Through the Stephen Ministry program, Lifegate Counseling Center, our pastors and our many support groups, there is a place here for you to receive comfort and strength in every season and circumstance of life.

Stephen Ministry
Do you need a friend to listen and care?

We all experience challenges in life — times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty, such as:

  • Loss of a loved one
  • Hospitalization and recovery
  • Divorce or separation
  • Loneliness or discouragement
  • Unemployment or a job crisis
  • A chronic or a terminal illness
  • Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility

Lifegate Counseling Center
The LifeGate Group is a fully licensed and accredited group of talented psychology professionals committed to leading breakthrough for people, couples, families and leaders. They believe that each of us has barriers holding us back from living a truly fulfilled life. Therefore, they offer counseling, executive coaching and marriage intensive retreats to help people achieve breakthrough. For more information, click LifeGateGroup.org.


Divorce Recovery

Support group care for those experiencing the shock and pain of divorce. This is a 16 week program for men and women who are divorced or going through a divorce. The meetings are held on Monday nights from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. It is led by two Stephen Ministers who are trained in the process. GriefShare
GriefShare is a faith based support group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics.

 

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That’s the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
